[PS SCM v9.2] How does procurement contracts' thresholds & notifications work?

Hi,

We were hoping if anyone can share his/her inputs on how does "Thresholds and Notifications" work at the procurement contracts level? The navigation is Main Menu > Procurement Contracts > Add/Update Contracts > search for a random contract > Thresholds & Notifications.

We setup a user and valid e-mail address for the Notification Types (i.e. Expiration, Maximum Amount) but weren't getting any e-mails after we created an ePro requisition with a valid contract and then sourced it to PO via PO Auto Source job. Is there any setup and/or process we are missing that is not allowing us to receive any e-mails?
