EBS R12.2.3 Cost Groups -- Is there any way to mass update?

We currently have many project numbers and each project number typically has its own cost group.  We are planning to consolidate our projects in planning groups and would like to use only one cost group moving forward.

We understand that we are not capable of changing the cost group after there have been transactions/costs associated with it.

Is there any way to accomplish this?  Change all existing costs groups to one cost group?
