Kit items and Preference

Hi


can someone confirm when a Kit item is raised, does it check the availability of components in preference or only against header BP

I know when it is backordered, the detail BP is same as header BP. Am asking this as I wanted to know is it the actual Kit item that doesnt use inventory commitment preference or components as well

Also, how about the dates. If I switch on advance preference and use PREPDAYS AND deldays , are they taken into account
