date showing 5000+ up and running in T2000

I would like to know the fix it for the issue which i am gone through, My server is facing a SC battery failure, raised a case with Oracle and had the Faulty SC Battery replacement, and corrected the Date at sc> and powered on through sc, Server came up fine and running. but while checking with date command it showing as 5000  days not sure what went wrong, can you guys help me on this, or does a reboot may fix? do we have any other process to set the date in single user mode?
