Creating customer address book number is necessary for retail industry?

Hi,

I am using JDE9.1.

I am building an interface with one of the retail software, Customers are only one time and not require to have details of address like we generally have in JDE for creating sales order. what we generally do in JDE for this type of scenario. As I understand in JDE without address we can not create sales order or create AR.

Is there a workaround, Or its mandatory to create at least dummy address.
