Hi Folks

We are working on a project to convert a stand alone database (12) to RAC Aware / Clustered RAC database (start with single node with option to add more nodes on the fly if required)

Here are the steps, we think should accomplish the task. Can you kindly review and let us know if we are missing anything from this

Current environment

12c E.E Stand alone database on Linux

Datafiles on file system

Storage is SAN

There is no GRID software installation

Objective is to have a one node RAC with single standby with minimal downtime. In future we will add more RAC node(s) to primary database server (server-A)

Howdy, Stranger!
