Filtered report under Contact as Web Applet

Hi All, I'm trying build a report which I can call under Contact web applet:

I have some information sitting in a custom object, which proxy relationship with contact ( I.e.by contact's external unique Id populated as text field in CO record). I have build a report with columns of this custom object and trying to use prompt ( custom ext uniq id field) . When I call this report through web applet under contact and pass the contact's external unique Id, It doesn't show the relevant filtered report data. Can someone suggest what could be going wrong, or if this is not possible?
