Hi,

In which case, it is necessary or recommended to do the following tuning actions for 12c database :

Actions of tuning:

ACTION1:  IO calibration

ACTION 2: Gathering Dictionary statistics

ACTION 3: Gathering Fixed tables statistics

ACTION 4: Gathering System statistics

Possible cases:

CASE 1: Addition of disks to the VG (Volume Group)

CASE 2: New distribution of the dbf files in the FS (File System)

CASE 3: Physical addition of RAM to the database server.

CASE 4: Activation of SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading) under AIX (SMT ON).

CASE 5: Addition of CPU to the database server.

CASE 6: Increasing MEMORY_TARGET of the instance.

CASE 7: Upgrade of instance (from 11g to 12c).
