"Live" payroll check stub portion

We rarely print 'live' payroll checks and don't quite know when the last time we did. However, we printed one yesterday and noticed that on the printed stub of the live check, the number of hours worked was blank. My createform quy called me and asked if we had put in any ESUs that would have changed R07231. He maintains that it used to look for "hours_worked" but now the report is using "Y2HRW". Does anyone know anything about this?
