Usage of profile CST: Exchange rate type

Hi All,

While running some reports, we are getting error that exchange rate needs to be provided. Upon metalink search, they suggested to provide value for the profile "CST: Exchange rate type".

Material Accountt Distribution Report Fails: "Enter a value for Exchange Rate Type parameter" (Doc ID 130504.1)

Can i update this profile with out any impact on existing functionality of cost management? Is this profile only used by reports?
