How to start a database instance

Hello Everyone,

Have a small doubt "as to why/how?"

I have installed Oracle Database 12c

I have an instance with orcl and another with orclbi

One is used for JD Edwards as a Database Server and the other is used by BI Publisher.

I am able to start orcl, but when I try to start orclbi it prompts that listener is not available.

So the question is how to start the other instance and why am I getting the above error

Both instances are on same machine and have a single listener.

Any suggestions.
