JDE Upgrade from A93 to A94 question?

During the validation step 2.8.8 in the A9.4 Upgrade Test Environment - General Instructions and Checklist. there was and error in the report.

Error 3733 - Cause........ERROR: The work library exists from a previous upgrade.

Resolution...Display the library to review the contents.  If the library is

             empty you must delete it.  If not, contact Technical Response

             Line before continuing with the upgrade.                   

What is the work library from a previous upgrade mean?
