What are BTM Observers?

BTM Observers are Business Transaction Management components that you install into the application server of business applications you want to monitor. The observers monitor messages and calls between the components of your business applications.

What is being Deprecated?

The following BTM observers are being deprecated:

  • Oracle OC4J (10.1)
  • Oracle WebLogic (9.2.x)
  • IBM WebSphere (6.1)
  • JBoss (4.3)
  • OEG (11.1.1.6)
  • IIS (7.5)

In BTM 12.1.0.8 or any BTM release thereafter, the BTM observers listed above will no longer be supported.  You will be unable to use BTM to monitor applications running in any of those environments.
