Web ADI "The Connection to the Server is Unavailable"

I usually get round this by creating a new template and saving it for the user to use. I have created a new template. I can select a list of values in any field which suggests I am connected.However, when it comes to uploading the journal I get the 'Connection" error. This couldn't come at a worst time it being year end.
