prior period closing balance is not appearing but prior period cost is appearing. Can anybody explai

prior period closing balance is not appearing but prior period cost is appearing. Can anybody explain why is like this and how to correct?

Or what are all the steps to be taken to correct it?

We have done migration from 11i to R12.2.5.

Imp note:  For some periods it is appearing ( I mean both prior period closing balance and prior period cost appearing.  For some balance is not appearing and cost only appearing.

Pls explain.
