How do we Keep Checks From Printing NMN when there is No Middle Name in HR

When printing checks for employees and they do not have a middle name entered in their HR record, the check prints with their name and NMN.  We encourage the actual middle name to be included but no matter what we do not want NMN to print. How can we keep that from occurring?
