Turning on SQL PLAN BaseLines feature(Oracle RAC 11gr2)

Good morning everybody

I have a question that needs an experience DBA's response: should i activate the SQL Plan baseline capturing/usage? i have been browsing the web and found many post talking about the consecuences of activating this feature in any version below 12.1(things related to poor performance, high SYSAUX space usage or just the optimizer not updating the best EP). Have any of you had experience working with this feature? The following are the parameters that i was instructed to activate, not because a concrete situation with execution plans but rather to use features that may improve performance:
