Database Performance Metrics

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing great.  Observing few of the recent issues we faced and when raising SR, AWR report from database normal performance time and during issue is uploaded to Oracle and recommendations are provided.

Wanted to understand some of your proactive practices as

1. How is the performance metrics gathered and maintained. Is that some of you has put an alert if performance metrics deviates from what is set as baselines?

2. Spoke to few where some norms like in an environment no programs or sql will be allowed to run more than certain amount of time in Prod, if it runs it will be send back for enhancements.
