Owner association in IB

Hi Team,

I want to understand at what level the owner is associated with an item in IB or how is it associated. Situation is like I have serialized item which is showing owner Al Majdouie Group (internal Customer) but I further checked that this owner don't have any account associated. I am taking about at the entry level, everytime an item instance gets created then I see that same owner comes against all S/Ns (or VINs)

Further, we issue the sales order to end customer who so ever purchase the Car (VIN is unique for each car) once customer SO created then ownership changes to another end user which is fine. But further I dig and found the default owner which initially associated with every S/N that is not even a OU, legal entity so how come that is associating with S/N at which stage, can we see it from front end ?
