Pricing and Availability screen

Manual modifiers are not showing in the pricing and availability screen. If the modifier is checked as automatic it shows. I was going thru some oracle documents and they mentioned to add Line Type to the pricing screen and it is not working for me as I am not able to enter any data in that field. List of value is not showing. any help??
