How to block Item/Loc ranging messages for Online DCs flowing from RMS to SIM 14

What is the reason for keeping itemloc relationships for online DC systems in SIM ?

The physical DC is having only one virtual DC and that is for online channel. Since they are getting published to SIM, SIM allows returning items online DC from retail stores. Sometimes users are choosing online DC by mistake to create returns. But if the item/loc relationship is not in SIM, they can not create those returns.

We want to stop the publishing of item/loc relation to SIM. is there a config for this without customization ?
