SIM 1403 - Price issue in SIM UI, Currency Code(EUR) instead of Symbol (€) and comma instead of deci

We have a france store for which the currency is setup in SIM as EUR and also item_price has it that way.

But when we look it up in SIM UI (Item Lookup Screen), it shows Currency Code(EUR) instead of Symbol (€) and comma instead of decimal point. €24.99 appears as EUR 24,99.

It shows correctly for a Pound.

We have a standard JRE 1.7 in the client PC where it is validated which is certified by oracle. Can you please let me know if any special setting to be done to see teh special chars ?
