fnd_log.string not inserting messages into fnd_log_messages table

Hi,

As mentioned in the note "How to enable and retrieve FND debug log messages (Doc ID 433199.1)" i have enabled the profile options FND%Debug% at user level. And I am calling my custom function from business event. For some reason it is not inserting the messages into Fnd_log_messages table when i have used fnd_log.string.

Please let me know what i might have done wrongly. Thanks in advance.
