WARNING: Oracle executable binary mismatch detected

After OS upgrade we are seeing error "WARNING: Oracle executable binary mismatch detected" in alert log. What could be the reason of this error message. binary relinking was not done properly? How can we do the consistency check of oracle binary(12.1.0.2)
