Asset Assignment creation using mass addition or API

Hi,

For a new R12 implementation, we are converting assets from a 11i system. We are populating the FA_MASS_ADDITIONS table with extracts from the 11i and then running the "Post Mass Additions". Now we faced a scenario for some of the assets, where we have to create multiple assignment for the same asset. For example the asset has 3 quantities, and we have to create two assignment for different location and/or expense account, one with unit as 1 and the other with unit as 2. Can this be done by the Mass additions? If yes then can you please let me
