Prerequisites check UDP and TCP Kernel Parameters

Hi,

I just read this discussion Which ports to open in the firewall for a 11gR2 Oracle database in dedicated server mode and something come out in my mind.

Based on on that discussion, dedicated server mode only required listener port to be opened. While based on this Doc ID 361284.1 there will be port redirection in shared mode and RAC clusters.

So, I wanna ask setting up TCP and UDP kernel parameters (https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/SSDBI/app_manual.htm#CIHFAACB) during prerequisites check are for this port redirection in shared server mode right?
