Finding the root cause of a UFS filesystem corruption

Hi,

It seems like there is no way to find out the root cause of a UFS FS corruption.

One of a user is requesting for a RCA.

How should i put it and convince the user that it is not possible?

It would be good if you could explain in detail since i can't really find much information from the internet.
