task flow feature in 11.1.2.4 for "HUB"

Hi Experts,

I have generic questions related to "task flow" feature in 11.1.2.4 , 

1. In distributed environment where foundation server (excluding EPMA) resides on Exalytics unix server and only EPMA services reside on windows server. Where is "task flow" feature for creating a  Application: Hub, Action: Execute , Command: <file name> is available, is it on unix OR on windows ?

2. In above architecture can we use "task flow"  to trigger shell scripts? I know "task flow" can trigger batch scripts using HUB options.
