Account Merge -Best Practices

Hello All ,

We are trying to Merge - Duplicate Customer Sites in our org .. Pretty much planning to use the standard Account merge functionality for the same .

Need Inputs on

a) Best Practices / Precautions to be taken care for Merging duplicate Customer Site

b) Advisable to Delete the site after Merge ? as business here wants to delete the Site after merging

c) Any scripts available for FINDING DUPLICATE CUSTOMER SITES , validating the data for Customer Merge.
