Data files are not being created at physical standby automaticall

Hi,

I have implemented the dataguard(physical standby), and it is working fine. But when I added a datafile in temporary tablespace on primary it does not create it on standby automatically, whereas I have used parameter (STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT=AUTO ) in my pfiles on both sides. Even, it does show up in V$TEMPFILE on standby but on primary I can see the physical file under ORADATA and also in V$TEMPFILE.

OS: Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.3

DB: 11.2.0.4

Secondly,  I will really appreciate if someone can share the best practice and script to delete the archivelogs on primary and standby. It seems retention of two days archive files is fine to me.
