Need help configuring ulimit

Hi

We have a DB SR and the engineer listed out a list of problems that we need to fix.

WARNING OS Check Oracle database software owner soft stack shell limit is configured according to recommendation All Database Servers
=> Please, set max user and open files limit to 64k for both oracle and root user for soft and hard limit
The undersized value can cause the serious performance issue on OS.


How do i set the max user permanently?

I have added the line "set maxuser=XXXXX". Is this the correct way?


How do i set the open file limit?
