Cycle Count - Adding New Lot/Location Records

edited Apr 27, 2016 5:08AM in Distribution - JDE1 (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Here is the situation - Branch 10 has two active lots - lot 123 and lot 234.  Branch 20 has one active lot 345.  A customer purchases from Branch 20 but returns the product to Branch 10.  The user adjusts the inventory into lot 123.

However, the cycle count associate counts in Branch 10, discovers the 345 lot and adds it to the cycle count.  When running R41413 - Cycle Count Update, because the lot/location record does not exist in Branch 10, the cycle count errors and does not post.  There is no way to reopen the count and the users have to manually make the adjustments.

Is there a processing option we have missed in this process that would allow me to create a new lot/location record when posting the cycle count update?

Howdy, Stranger!
