Services getting connected to available instance when preferred instance is up

Hi All,

Database I am working on is Oracle 11gR2 Standard Edition with 2 node RAC setup in OEL.

We have 3 services in the database.

$ srvctl status service -d prdx

Service PRDX_BATCH is running on instance(s) PRDX1

Service PRDX_OLTP is running on instance(s) PRDX1

Service PRDX_SYNCH is running on instance(s) PRDX2

Preferred instance for service PRDX_SYNCH is PRDX2 and available instance is PRDX1.

Details of PRDX_SYNCH service are given below.


$ srvctl config service -d prdx -s PRDX_SYNCH

Service name: PRDX_SYNCH

Service is enabled

Server pool: PRDX_PRDX_SYNCH

Cardinality: 1

Disconnect: false
