AWR metrics and RAC candidacy

Hi

We have a 12c Stand Alone database on Linux X64

We were told that this server was built to handle 3 times the max load when we inherited it

The client now wants us to move this to a 2 node RAC database for performance benefits

Is there any specific metric in AWR report (taken when the system is under maximum load) that we can use to determine if adding a node to it  / moving this to RAC would help with the performance?

We know that there are application specifics areas that needs to be addressed before we port over the application from stand along to RAC but right now we are looking at it purely from database performance perspective
