Hi:

We're in the midst of evaluating a few storage products on multiple platform.  One of the platform is Solaris (SPARC and x64).  I've an iscsi lun mounted on a Solaris 10u11 V480.  I'm trying to gauge what's the max this box + storage combo can perform.  Below are the setup:

- 4 x 1200MHz USIII, 32GB RAM

- Mount 1 iscsi lun via 1Gbps NIC

- Created a ramdisk, with a directory filled with 1,000,000 1KB files created with mkfile

- copy this directory to the iscsi lun, %b for the lun is 97-100%.  %b for ramdisk is just 2-3%, r/s and w/s is about 4000

Howdy, Stranger!
