PO notification Item Description is defaulting from Item Master and Not PO line level?

We have a Requirement of changing the Item description for Service Items at PO line level. But when the notification is Sent to Approver the Item Description is defaulting from Item Master.

Is this the standard functionality? Do we have any workaround?
