Hi

I am upgrading an Oracle 10.2.0.5 binaries to 11.2.0.4.7 without RAC and ASM, and dbua fails with the following error message :

>>

root@kpx30i26:/appli/int/bin_batch# cat /oracle/cfgtoollogs/dbua/logs/silent3.log
The database is using ASM as storage. Before you upgrade database, you need to upgrade ASM using Automatic Storage Management Configuration Assistant (ASMCA) from grid infrastructure home. Starting 11gR2, ASM should be running from grid infrastructure home.
The Upgrade Assistant failed in executing any query on the database AMFIQ. Oracle Home /oracle/oradb/10.2.0/ora obtained from file /etc/oratab was used to connect to the database. Either the database is not running from Oracle Home /oracle/oradb/10.2.0/ora or its not in OPEN status. Correct the error and run the Upgrade Assistant again.
