Mass maintenance in Oracle general ledger for a particular period

I want to do move/merge for certain accounts using the mass maintenance workbench in oracle general ledger.

The issue is there is no option to do it for particular period.

We need to do the operation for particular periods not for all the periods.

Is there any option to do the move/merge operation for particular periods instead of all the periods.

One more requirement.

As we inquired if the move/merge operation is done for a period then the number of journals created is equal to the the number of journal lines created for the account.

E.g. if there were 10 journals created for the account in a period then the move/merge operation also creates 10 journals.
