RSM takes an unbelievably long time to return when using LDAP...

I am seeing the following behavior. It was mentioned by another individual on my client site, a similar issue was seen in EPM and fixed by Oracle. Before I open an SR to have this investigated, I want to check and see if it's a known issue (preferably with a fix), or if it's due to some kind of configuration we have on-site that might be changed to get better results...

Problem Statement
Currently after login in to RSM, clicking on 'Role Administration' or 'User Administration' takes anywhere between minutes (10+) to hours (1.5+) to load the page.
