Sending a corrected Interest 1099

If we reported a Interest 1099 with incorrect federal identification number the amount in the file will not change in the file. Correct?

     Do I send two files?

          A.  Corrected interest file with incorrect federal identification number

          B.  Corrected interest file with the correct federal identification number

  I have never had to do this so sending a corrected file is something new.  I did populate the write media section that identifies the file as corrected.  How do I indicate what is right and what is incorrect as far as the federal identification number is concerned?
