Upgrade 5.1.73 to 5.6 with yum

has anybody upgraded the MySQL version that comes with RHEL 6 to the community version on the oracle site with yum?

did you have to install 5.5 first? did you perform the MySQL_upgrade after the 5.5 install but before the 5.6 install?

how did the upgrade go, any issues?

redhat EL 6

MySQL 5.1.73

want to upgrade to MySQL 5.6.?? (whatever 5.6.?? version is in oracle's yum community repository)
