MTU size

I'm having a question from a customer that wants to know what are supported values for the network setting called "MTU size" on a server running EBS R12 (with an 11g database).

I personally don't recall any such requirement for any server of any eBS server, but if there is no requirement, there may still be advisable values.

Some actual value has been mentioned, but I don't want to discuss actual values since advice must detail those in the first place.
