RMAN report obsolete doesnt shown expired backupsets.

Hello,

Im using Target DB Oracle db 12.1.02.0 on linux RH 6.4 x86-64 . i'm using Rman with catalog emrep catalog 11.2.0.3 (Linux RH 6.4 x86-64) and target ORA1CORE DB 12.1.0 2

crossceck backupset listed plenty of EXPIRED backupset , what "report obsolete" does NOT. is a kown  problem ?

I would like to delete the EXPIRED backups  with "delete obsolete" command
