10.2.0.4 database ...oracle not available

got 4 instances running of a 10.2.0.4 database. One ORACLE_HOME.

set the environment wit ORACLE_SID pointing to one of the SIDS.  set ORACLE_HOME.

run a sqlplus on the server with sqlplus id/pw  (bequeath connection).

ERROR:

ORA-01034: ORACLE not available

ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

Solaris-AMD64 Error: 2: No such file or directory

Any idea?
