GL journal Import Program

Oracle Gurus,

We are importing Journal entries  from one ledger to another through a custom interface within a same oracle instance.

We are facing an issue wherein, journal line numbers created within a journal  for the target ledger are not maintaining their sequence as in the source journal.

  1. e.g  for a source journal  XXXXXX , I have 10 journal lines with line numbers 1 to 10.

When we import this journal through GL_INTERFACE table and the GL Import program, it correctly creates a journal YYYYYY  with 10 journal lines with line numbers 1 to 10.

But the sequencing of the lines is not maintained as it was in the Source ledger.
