Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. what is the difference between 'book a sales order' and 'pick release' ?

Hi,

I did not work on shop floor and dont know much about order to cash in manufacturing environment.

I am trying to understand order to cash cycle in Oracle and could not understand the difference between 'Booking a sales order' and 'pick release' ?

Can you please elaborate on this ?
