Verifone e355: Is this new sled compatible with SIM?

Previous versions of the Verifone sleds (i.e. 335) work with Wavelink iOS, but our client would like confirmation before purchasing new hardware.  Landesk does not provide any insight, and the SIM Mobile Installation Guide no longer addresses scanners / sled.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.
