Hyperion Retrieve Error

At my company we have our old HE applications running on individual PCs now.  The person who supported these is now gone and I'm trying to help a new user get installed and working.  The HE side for a particular application will open for her but when trying to open in Excel Retrieve she wasn't even getting asked for that application.  I modified her HPAPP.DAT file to include that application but now she is getting a "No MODAPPDLL Parm: OpenApp Error" and tells her it cannot open that particular application.  She is able to log into the application through HE
