Quarterly Security Update

I have a Linux 6.2 server (kernel 2.6.32-220.23.1.el6.x86_64). It is quite obsolete for sure.

I tried to apply quarterly security update from el6.x86_64 latest channel but then X server was broken.

By running command "Xorg -version", I found that X server was upgraded from 1.10 to version 1.15 which is built on kernel  3.8.13. However my kernel version is 2.6.32. That should be the reason why X server was broken. There may be other packages in the same situation. I just could not tell.

My question is that: Is it possible to filter out the security updates that match the current kernel version? The command I used to apply security patch is
