Invoice WorkBench will not allow Cursor to Select Form

A few time a day while working in the invoice work bench in payables, I am not able to select a particular field with my cursor. The system makes me "tab" all the way to the appropriate field which can become time consuming.  The issue is usually resolved by restarting Oracle, then it will work for a few invoices and then all the sudden go back to not working correctly.  Does anyone have an ideas as to what the issue might be?
